Today was our second full day at sea, but this time it was a little more scenic as we were cruising through the Chilean Fjords. Here are a couple highlights of my day:

  • Seeing the beautiful sunrise at 6:15am over the fjords... and then going back to sleep

  • Trying out the solarium, AKA a fancy indoor pool that is basically one giant hot tub. It has roller beds that you can lie down on and when the ship rocks, you roll. Call it rock and roll if you will.

  • We watched the old timers learn how to salsa and tango while we played cards. What a sight.

  • We taste tested 6 different martinis after watching the martini flight show. It was absolutely incredible. Not only did they toss everything around, but also at one point stacked all the shakers up together and poured 18 martinis at a time!

  • We participated in the Battle of the Sexes Round 2, where this time the girls won! Who runs the world?? – girls

  • We ate... of course. I had French onion soup with a heaping pile of cheese, salmon, and strawberry icecream. Yummy!

  • We got invited to the Captain’s Club Dinner, where we got free champagne [only reason we attended lol]. Although, they did have a good band playing called “The Smart Casuals” that has a guy who looks like Ed Sheeren in it.

  • Listened to the talented Salvatore Hasard in his show “Life is Music”. He is a multi-instrumentalist playing the guitar, drums, saxophone, harmonica, and piano.
