Today we drove and drove and drove! What started out at 6:30am in Washington D.C. ended at 9:30pm in Boston, Massachusetts. By noon we had been in 5 states, hit loads of traffic, and paid $35 in tolls, but it was all worth it. We pulled into Mystic, Connecticut at about 4pm and witnessed the beautiful waterfront full of sailboats. There was a street festival going on in the charming, little town, which was fun to see. Sadly since we hit so much traffic we had to rush because we wanted to make it to Newport, Rhode Island before all the shops closed. Once we left Mystic, we were on our way to Newport—Another quaint town full of cobblestone streets and cute shops. We did some shopping and then headed to the Cliff Walk. The Cliff Walk is a pathway that provides stunning ocean views on one side and elaborate mansion views on the other (Including the famous Vanderbilt Breakers House). We walked only part of it since it was starting to get dark, but the part we did walk was gorgeous! Next stop: Boston, Massachusetts!
